What You'll Achieve
Upon completion of the 8-week course, participants will develop a basic level of competency and techniques on mindfulness concepts and interventions. To achieve and enhance overall personal well-being, participants will learn strategies that include mindfulness, reappraisal, and savoring skills.
Define and understand mindfulness, both conceptually and experientially
Identify at least four benefits of the effect of mindfulness meditation and practices on personal well-being
Utilize mindfulness skills to manage stress reactivity to internal and external stressors
Develop mindfulness skills to utilize as a Peer Recovery Specialist
Renewal Credits
16 educational hours can be applied to re-certification for CPRS and NCPRSS.
